To assist and educate people with visual and cognitive disabilities, providing them with skills, enabling them to become more independent and engaged in life.
"The goal of Evermor Foundation is to optimize the socialization skills and independence of young adults with vision loss and mental delays so they may enjoy a fulfilling and productive life. Our commitment is to develop partnerships with private and public programs, parent networks, community resources and agencies that will enable these individuals to enjoy happy and successful lives.
The Evermor Foundation will provide Day Programs, which will include transition services that address all dimensions of adult adjustment and community involvement. These programs include employment opportunities, physical education programs, social and interpersonal networks, and personal growth and development.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate in educational and interactive programs and seminars that help families explore variables that influence the needs of visually-impaired young adults. These include, but are not limited to, the client's social capabilities, availability of local community and state resources within any given community, and transition into adulthood for every client.
Evermor Foundation is meant to be a communication network for parents, caregivers, and all clients in order to provide a loving network; an avenue to share educational, personal and interpersonal information.
We look forward to developing a working partnership with each individual, and organization, within our Home Community...and communities statewide and beyond."
